Sunday Lunchtime Hot Links
Pre-Season is under way and we’re now less than a month from the beginning of the Premier League season.
Leeds United
Leeds United tied Manchester United 0-0 in Stockholm in the first game of the pre-season. Ruben Amorim noted that Leeds made United “suffer a little bit.” Possession was 50/50, Leeds managed just four shots - on or off-target - but created two Big Chances to Manchester United’s one.
In the Yorkshire Evening Post’s “Five Things We Learned” article, we find that Patrick Bamford is “not in” Daniel Farke’s Premier League season plans, will not join Leeds in Germany for Training Week, and will not train with the 1st Team when they come back. And it’s here that everyone gets to discuss Bamford’s legacy at Leeds United.
And here are Four Things We Learned from the Leeds/Manchester United friendly from Vavel, with Vavel noting that the Leeds attackers’ ability to get behind the Manchester United defense will cause problems in the Premier League, and that Leeds’ midfield is becoming an area of strength.

Bookie Consensus is that Wolves, Burnley, and Sunderland will head down to the Championship for 2026-27.
The Sun is reporting that Leeds are trying to sell Mateo Joseph to raise funds to bring in Fulham striker Rodrigo Muniz, who is open to the move, but Fulham’s asking price remains high.
Marseille look as though they will win the sweepstakes for Feyenoord winger Igor Paixao.
