Crystal Palace won the FA Cup, giving them an automatic entry into the Europa League. However, they may not be allowed to play as co-owner John Textor also owns Lyon, who are also in the Europa League next season, and rules are that multiple teams with one owner are disqualified. And he also owns Brondby, a Danish team who qualified for the Europa Conference League, so Crystal Palace wouldn’t be able to drop down there. There’s a meeting with UEFA to get it ironed out, but it may be that Crystal Palace misses out on Europe entirely. Unless Textor sells his shares in Palace or places them in a blind trust - but he needs to do something quickly.
